Lacuna Coil are more of a Thrash Metal band. Female vocals doesn't always make Opera and Gothic Metal otherwise Kittie would be there too.

Suppose...But Then Again I'm Not Really A Fan Of Kittie. Some Lacuna Coil Songs Have Very Haunting Vocals, Like The Opera And Gothic Metal. They're A Mix Of Genre Shall We Say.

They are gothic rock with an added element of pop to the mix. nothing thrashy about them.

There is however, nothing Goth about them.

they are on the edge of gothic. i never said Goth, cos goth music is fucking boring, but their music is very gothic and has elements of medieval choir in it, combined with modern instrumentation.

i got all of their albums, they definitley have a pop edge in terms of the melodiousness and catchiness of each song, the way most of the songs would fit quite well on mainstream radio and the image that Cristina Scabbia puts forward. anyway, i said a "poppy edge", they arent entirley pop, but they add enough in to make the music saleable.

You Put Things Forward Well, And I Entirely Agree With You On All Of It! *claps* ^_^ Lacuna Coil Have Many Influences, Its Hard To Pick Out Them All, But Pop Is In There Somewhere Among The Mix.
