Some of you might disagree with Michael Amott and DimeBag Darrel. But they both have that same feel for the Speed Metal rush. It's all I on how we see things and these are the 7 best Speed Metal artists I know of when I think about Speed Metal. Anyways. I said don't vote Herman Li, because A) I'm sick of hearing about Herman. And B) I can't take DragonForce seriously enough to call them Speed Metal. I'm going to have to vote for Dave Mustaine. For two reasons. MegaDeth was the first metal band I ever listened. And I was 7 years old. From there on I was hooked. When I was 8 I bought Rust in Peace, Peace Sells... But Who's Buying, and Risk, and I believe it was 2000 I bought Rude Awakening and Countdown to Destruction (when I was 9) I'm a huge fan, you just don't always see it. One of the first 'complicated' songs I learned was the meat and bones of Return to Hangar. So they've been in my blood for a long time. And then I also pick him because of the music he wrote with Metallica.

Herman does count, because technically out of all of those listed, he can play faster.
and anyway, what about Jason Becker? Marty Friedman? Michael Angelo Batio?
hell, even Steve Vai has done speed metal (with Alcatrazz).
Dime doesnt count as speed metal because he didnt play speed metal, he played power groove (or whatever the fuck Pantera defined themselves as).
Michael Ammott does count cos him and his brother Chris played in Carcass.
out of that list i guess i'd vote for Andreas Kisser, very underrated player IMO

There's a button that says other. also Steve Vai really didn't make his career out of Alcatrazz so I didn't put him up there. MAB is shred. Along with Jason Becker. Herman doesn't count because he's like Steve Vai just not American and Marty would be up there, but I decided for Dave to represent MegaDeth because he was truly the inventor.
