well we play faster and harder than dragonforce, don't we. but we still have masses of talent in our ranks. unlike one said person playing triplets sliding from 12 fret to open then walking out, lol.

When I think of Speed Metal I think of Nuclear Assault and MegaDeth and Slayer and Metallica and Sepultura and I think of these guys with the aura of notes at a blistering speed. And I think of that angry shout they all have. The gravel in their voice. And I think of the drummers pumping their legs as they beat their dual bass drums and whail their arms like an insane man as they beat on their kit. And the bassist gets a nice lick goin keeps everyone on the same note I think of Cliff Burton and Dave Ellifson. Then I think of Kerry King and Dave Mustaine. Andreas Kisser. All of them gods among us mere mortals.

I am truely sorry mate...but I must say that Metallica and Megadeth are more Thrash Metal than Speed Metal... yeah they played a few fast songs, but mostly it was just slow, loud and ... erm ... loud.

if you think MegaDeth is slow... get your fucking hearing done. Take No Prisoners, Holy Wars, listen to all of Rust in Peace. That's not Thrash that's the dawn of Speed at it's finest.

OK... slow was incorrect... but it's not up to the speed of dragonforce and they ain't they fastest mate... not by a long shot.

DragonForce isn't as much speed as it is technique IMO, sure they're fast, but nothing can surpass Nuclear Assault.
